Priding itself for being the smallest distillery in Scotland, Edradour has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 1825. Steeped in history the distillery of Edradour is located at the heart of Perthshire, hidden away amongst the beautiful backdrop of the Scottish landscape with its name meaning “the land between two rivers”.
Before Scotch whisky was respected for its craftsmanship and unique blend of flavours, whisky had to be created illegally mainly in the highlands. Edradour was for a short time a part of this culture until the Excise Act of 1823 which encouraged licensing, and Edradour was born as a cooperative for local farmers. Changing hands year upon year – once to a connection to the New York Mafia in 1938 - the brand continued to grow and grow, offering distinct flavours and blends including “House of Lords” and “The Kings Ransom”. Now Edradour is once again a proud Scottish brand, offering unique blends and delicious batches that have had time to mature for nearly 18 years.
